Please help guys!

So, I am doing my research project on empathy, and I was wondering if you guys could tell me if you have seen any movies lately that were about 9/11 or the war, and say if it made you feel empathetic towards the soldiers or the people, or if you just felt empathy at all. This does not have to be lengthy, it could simply just be the name of the movie and then a "yes" (empathetic) or "no".
Thank you!!!

I saw a news program about 9/11 on 9/11 a year ago kind of like a news show memorial. It was the first time since third grade that I had really relived the horrors that I didn't understand back then. It was so moving and I cried for a while. The people jumping out of buildings made me think what I would do. I don't know if it was strong empathy necessarily as much as true sympathy.

Hey leslie,
If you go onto you tube there is a couple different, short videos that are really good. You could even post one and take a servey on how many people felt true empathy for the people after viewing it or something like that. I am felt really empathetic when watching them. The name of the one I watched was just titled 9/11 and I just typed in the search part 911 and a lot of videos came up.
I hope this helps!

hey leslie! last night i watched Black Hawk Down. and, yes it made me feel VERY empathetic towards the soldiers. especially the wounded soldiers and the families of the dead soldiers. I also watched parts of Band of Brothers. That was a really well made series because of the empathy you felt towards all of the soldiers. Especially the guys who watched their friends die....if youre looking for empathetic war movies(if thats an okay term) then i recommend those.

I have never watched a MOVIE about 9/11, but I have seen a lot of news reports and documentaries. I think I felt more sympathy towards the people and soldiers directly involved with the event, because I live WAAAAAAYYYY out in Denver, and it hardly affected me. I'm not proud of that, but its the truth.

I have seen a number of movies on 9/11. I did not feel empathy towards the people, just sympathized with their pain. However, I do feel anger and upset over the situation that was slammed into America that day, and that is empathy. Feeling the joy presented by those joyful to be reunited and the pain of those who lost loved ones. May those who have served and died not be forgotten. That day shall not be forgotten.

Hmmm... Well, I haven't ever seen a movie on 9/11 or the war, but I have seen lots of news reports and TV specials on them. And yes, they did make me feel empathetic. I don't know if this is what your asking for, but I've also seen Gladiator, Troy, 300, Alexander, and The Kingdom of Heaven which are war movies, but not about recent wars. These too made me feel empathetic to the soldiers and the noble causes they fought for.

A recent movie that I have seen was THE PATRIOT with Mel Gibson. After watching it, I definitely felt more empathatic towards the men who lost their lives, fighting for the cause, our freedom.
