If math/science were a color it would be______ because _______

I am writing my WRP on Math and Science classes and why they need more play and design but first I wanted to know how students feel about the classes now. So could you fill in the blanks for me? Thanks!

If math/science was a color it would be ____ because ______.

If math was a color I would choose yellow because that is just the 1st color that comes to mind. For science I would choose green because it is the color of most of the text books and also the color of plants which you study in some sciences.

If math were a colour, it'd be blue, becasue it's like the ocean; you can only guess what lies at the bottom.... if that makes any sense...

If science were a color it would be green, because a lot of things in science are green (plants, animals, weird liquids, and so on).

If math were a color it would be red, because math is primary, you need it to make a lot of other colors. If that makes any sense.

If science were a color it would be a forest green because in biology we are learning about life and a lot of life (mostly plants) are green. It makes me thing of green.

If math were a color it would be yellow because yellow is a bright color that sheds some light on situations, but also it isn't my favorite color, so that kinda represents how it is generally a more difficult concept to understand. If science were a color it would be neon purple because it stands out, isn't always 100% correct, and is more complicated than it appears. (That probably doesn't make much sense at all.)

If I had to choose a color for math, it would be gray, because it has never been that exciting. I know that sounds bad, but it's true. Gray is a boring color, so that's my thinking.

Science would be yellow, because of electricity. Lots of new science used electricity, and animals use electric bursts to communicate in the brain, I think. So yeah, I would choose yellow.

I agree with Cate. I think math would be red because red is such a complicated color. It can be made and incorporated into a lot of things.

Science would be yellow I think because science is thinking of brilliant new ideas. Plus, a lot of people argue that either yellow is a good or bad color and science is quite controversial.

I would say that math would be a deep blue. I'm not really sure why but it just seems to fit. I would say science is green because I think of the enviornment and nature when I think of science.

After I used up most of my brain power on this question, I think that math is gray because it can be VERY boring. Its rather un-engaging also. You sit there for an hour trying to figure out what xy+z equals....

Science is definatley neon green because of chemicals and solutions. Also because science can be rather obnoxious.

If math was a color, I would chose pink, because I hate pink and I hate math too. Although you do get satisfaction from solvin ga problem, math, like pink, is commonplace and people use it too much. Science would vary, depending on the teacher. Sometimes, science is a dull brown because it is extremely boring and lots of regurgitation of facts. Sometimes, it is a green for it deals a lot with nature and the hands-on science is interesting and sometimes even fun.

What a great pair of questions to ask!

I am currently setting up/setting the direction of a Science Investigations Lab at our elementary building and I was wondering if you could e-mail me a copy of your results to assist me in my student-centered redesign of the space...

SCIENCE is actually blue. My bad.

Math is RED, because it is complex, and can be incorporated into so many things. Red can also represent love, anger, hate, pain, blood, exoticism, and dry-heaving.
that's just the way it is. Don't judge me....

I would choose green for science because when I think of science I think of the green earth. I would choose purple for math because it is a mix of red and blue. Math is calming like blue, and there is so much to it, and red is bright.
